The San Antonio Garden Center Holiday Market is gift shopping with a side of home cooking. Vendors and the Garden Center's member clubs and organizations sell holiday decorations, gifts, home décor, fashions, jewelry, and accessories, and area artists bring a new selection of holiday decorations this year.
Partway through the market, members set out a complimentary tasting buffet of their favorite dishes, so you can browse, sample, and then browse some more. There's also a silent auction, and the money it raises goes to the Garden Center's Scholarship Fund.
The market is open to all ages. If you're an area artisan hoping to sell, contact Rhonda Banuelos, the Garden Center event coordinator, and do it early, because space is limited. Vendors keep their day's proceeds.
